Within the last 75 years, over 80% of orangutans have been lost through habitat destruction and animal cruelty. They are on the brink of extinction.
Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation are on a mission to stop Orangutans from becoming history.
The Challenge
The word extinction makes you think about the dinosaurs. The dodo. The woolly mammoth. Too few people are aware that this is a problem that’s happening now.
The prevalence of viral videos of Orangutans driving golf buggies and performing for crowds dressed in human clothes has lead to not enough people understanding that the species is classified as critically endangered and at risk of becoming extinct.

With their threat of extinction imminent, we we demonstrated in no uncertain terms what will happen if we don’t act now. By making the connection between these two animals, we hope to raise awareness of the scale of the problem and motivate the British public to act now by donating to stop the orangutan from becoming history.
